If he had been given a chance, could Papp have beaten either Giardello or Tiger for professional honors? How would those fights have unfolded against the pressure of Tiger, and the guile of Giardello?
I'd like to know more about Papp, one of the three greatest olympians of all time...as a 3X gold medalist. I understand this man only stood 5' 5 1/2", but had extremely good timing and a powerful left hand from the southpaw stance.
    What is your opinion?

Papp would have been stopped by Tiger, too small and willing to fight in mid-range and Tiger would have eventually caught up to him for a stoppage. As for Joey he had the height and reach advantage over Papp by a few inches and coupled with his steady diet of jabs and right crosses Papp is gonna have a hell of a time trying to get inside on him. He will work his way in, but will take alot of punishment in doing so and I don`t know if he would have held up down the stretch... if he does then he loses a decision. Papp is really more of a natural jr.middleweight and would have more success at that weight in terms of fantasy matchups then against bonafide middles.
