Could Lennox pull a Foreman at this point in his life and comeback?

Gotta remember, when George started his comeback guys like tyson, holyfield and bowe were the champ, but he lucked out and managed to catch moorer.

It'd be like Lewis coming back when Wlad has retired and the champ is dawson.

 

No Lewis have millions upon millions to fall back on, I suspect Money played a huge part in Foreman's reason's to come back

I don't think so. If Lewis came back today he'd be roughly 45 years of age, whereas Foreman at least started his comeback at 39, plus took about 22 or so tune ups to get back in the groove. Lewis wouldn't have that kind of time. In addition, Foreman had acquired a style that was more conducive to fighting in old age then the one that Lewis left the game with. George's new cross armed defense was difficult to penetrate and his energy conservation tactics permitted him to still go 12 rounds. His power in his 40's was still lethal as well, whereas we don't know how much recoil Lewis still has. Lastly, Foreman was the type of fighter who could get away with fighting at 255-260 lbs, whereas Lewis needs to be in better shape to perform well, and at this point in his life, I don't think he can acheive the level of conditioning that he'd need to.

 

If he got in shape he would easily be top 10.

I think if Lennox got back in shape and had a couple tuneup fights to get his timing back, he could beat the Kiltchko's... and if not, at least be more competitive than any other of the opponents the brothers have faced of late.

 

A small snowball has greateer likelihood of passing through hell unscathed than Lewis does of pulling a Foreman. Wlad would beat him easier than he did Tony Thompson ( who was Wlad's toughest defense to date).

 

Not quite. George Foreman was successful because he had a style that allowed him to fight at an old age, plus the intangibles to make it work. Without the chin and the power, it's difficult. Lennox relied too much on reflexes that would be gone. If Rahman beat an under-trained Lewis, the Klitschko's would for sure.
