Your right Dren, I've been saying Walters has a better chance that most will give him credit for this could be another one where the people are can't accept how close it was.

Walters needs to watch that Salido fight closely coz he needs to turn this into a rugged fight to negate Lomas boxing ability. People get it twisted though, Loma is easily one of the most gifted in the sport but Marriaga and Sosa are both better than Martinez in my opinion, so Walters has definitely been fighting at a higher level in his recent fights.

Loma needs to capitalise on Walters inactivity, force him to throw a lot and see how his conditioning holds up.

 

Nic has to be patient to a degree and use his jab to get Loma out of rhythm. Following Loma around the ring is a recipe for disaster as Nic is a rather flat-footed fighter.

Although I do think it's even possible that Walters can KO Loma, I am really predicting a masterclass from Lomachenko, a TKO 10.

i think lomachenko is going to absolutely destroy walters, i see the hieght and HUGE reach advantage but it just does not phase me at all... i feel walters is a good fighter but even a great one would need to dig deep to win vs loma, i feel walters maybe caught the donaire fight at the perfect time. i mean donaire has done absolutely horribly since. his power seems legit but i think with over 300 amateur fights and now starting to really come into his own as a pro lomachenko has prob seen it all

 

I think it actually has a good chance to usurp the level of entertainment and action that was seen in last week's main event.

It all depends on how Loma decides to fight Walters. If he puts himself in harm's way and stays in the pocket for long periods of time to exchange, it could be a barn burner. But Loma is a technically brilliant fighter and I'm sure he'll utilize every square inch of that ring on fight night.

As some mentioned before me, Walters really needs to watch footage on what Salido did to Loma. He's going to have to fight a relatively dirty fight to keep it competitive.

 

Where would Lomachenko be on everyone's P4P list I wonder if he beats Walters convincingly?

I'm a fan of both fighters. Both are great

I think Walters will look for the KO early and I'm pretty sure his mindset for this fight will be " F××× the judges"

My prediction for this fight is Loma late rds TKO ( probably the 10th)
The Axeman will start strong but will get tired after putting all his power in his punches , and Loma making him miss widely as the fight goes in the later rds, at wich point Loma will clip the Jamaican with a hard counter and drop him. Walters will show heart and get up in time, but will have nothing left and the ref will stop the fight after Loma peppers the tough Jamaican

HBO been feeding their main talent to killerz (Except for GEE, Dude is in hiding). Postol, Kovalev, LomaChenko being thrown at the wolves. Coming off this weekend tho... Walters will probably need a "Knockout" to lose by Unanimous decision. NOWAY HBO let's their newest push take an "L".

 

You say that but they let Salido get the decision over Lomachenko. I have it for Salido but I see an equal case for Loma winning 7-5, as do a number of others, let alone a draw.

 

Exactly my point... Why do u think HBO is pushing for this rematch so hard? Because Orlando will finally hit the wall the way he was supposed to when they initially matched them up.

 

The cards vs Gary Russell were closer than they should've been, too. Salido used his full bag of tricks without the ref neutering it by calling a conservative fight.

I get the concern that HBO will protect its house fighters 100%, but there's no evidence Lomas gotten that perk (yet).

 

I don't even think it was the most exciting bout on the card. Shields debut was more exciting. Heck I thought GGG v Brook was a more entertaining fight.
