He was hit with a devastating uppercut that he ducked into and although he struggled to his feet he did make it to his feet around what would have been the 6 count and there would have been about 15 seconds left. Please do not mistake this for me suggesting that it was a bad stoppage it was fair stoppage in my opinion but I do think he could have possibly weathered another 15 seconds by clinching or even if he endured another knockdown from the first semi solid follow up shot a minute rest to recover will allow a fighter to get their wits together quite a bit.
***** no he was going through convulsions as he lay on the canvas. Any ref or corner team who would allow a fighter to continue after something like that needs to have the licence revoked ASAP.
I definitely didn't notice any convulsions. I did see himhurt and rise to his feet in around 6 to 7 seconds. I've without a doubt saw worse knockdown in which a fighter managed to finish a round.
Nah he was lucky it didn't continue he will live to fight another day a dude like Iron man would have wrecked him if he got up.
I only saw it once but it looked liked his body went into an involuntary spasm to me when he was down on the canvas About the 2:45 mark This content is protected
I'm usually the first to complain about an early stoppage but Lubin was finished. When a guy does the chicken dance while lying on the canvas he is pretty well finished. Even when he got up he could barely walk.
I say the stoppage was fine. But there's a chance he could have survived the round, there was only 20 seconds left. Could have take a knee, shook off the cobwebs and survived for round 2
We didnt get a chance to see if he could walk. The ref geabbed him and stopped it. Khan was knocked down by Garcia and was all over the place, he shouldn't have even been given a chance to finish. Bradley was knocked down so badly by Provodnikov that he got up and fell down again Montell Griffin style but both were allowed to finish on very shaky legs. Yet a lot of you seem to be in unanimous agreement that Lubin shouldn't have even been given an opportunity to see if he could fight once he rose from the canvass.
