Who has Usyk beaten to suggest that he would be a top heavyweight in the 40s?

    Both would rule the division.

To me it's not the who but how. Really, the skill he's shown. I can see him being in the top 10. I'm not suggesting that he'd reign without mercy.

Usyk looks decent because the competition he fights is just bad. But in my opinion he wouldn't get pass fighters like Ocassio, or Deleon, and esp Holyfield or Qawi.

How you look depends on your competition. And his competition has not been that good.

Winning of the 4 world titles, sure. Beating Usyk, maybe not.

The talent at cruiser is decent right now. I'd pick Patterson to beat most of them, but with his style he's getting caught during the process.

Patterson never fought Folley. He beat Machen, maybe that's who you meant.

Usky scooping all the titles is a big game changer in terms of this question, because he is going to be a serious obstacle for anybody.

When Oleksandr saw the breadth of his domain he wept, for there were no more worlds to conqueror!

Spinks and Patterson could win titles but the issue with opinions of the cruisers is the division gets little attention it suffers from ******* child syndrome in way but it is a very talented weight.....they need a superstar to bring the division it's due like Pryor, Arguello ignited 140 Usyk, Gassiev and others could do with the air time they get.....the talented LTH would be more content to fight at cruiser if the money was there

This may not be a bad thing.

Lighter sparring and better treatment for concussions means greater longevity. This opens up the potential for more experience over the course of a career.

That's the reason that Muay Thai fighters, for example, are able to rack up Greb-sized professional records without becoming shot. They spar lightly.

Come to think of it, I wonder how heavily Greb, Moore, and Robinson sparred.

I think boxing middle weight down is still filled w talent especially in the last couple of decades. The bigger guys go into other sports where they make more money with less physical worries.

I think that LHW and cruiserweight have been very strong divisions in recent years.

Outside the US, which sports lure big, athletic guys away from boxing?
