I think if they had gone after Morales when he was still a featherweight, Pac stood a better chance. Barrera had beaten Morales but they went after him at 130 after the Marquez fight so Morales' gameplan was to outbox Manny and not brawl him. He fought patiently and went against his instinct to fight like a mother****er because that was the key. When he turned southpaw that was the "anything stupid" his corner warned him against but he did it because he was ahead and was ready to show off.

Morales not fighting a disciplined boxing gameplan against Pacquiao could have been beaten by Manny. So yes, I think it was possible.

At 130 pacquiao with Ariza? it would be a close fight. But Morales is too tough and Manny makes a lot of mistakes. Morales UD.

Morales definitely fought "out of character".

The Roach-revised version of Pac, or the one-dimensional southpaw gun slinger?

even though Morales showed his balls by turning southpaw in the 12th and sticking to it, he took a beating in that round. That's a clear as day Pac round.

Of course Morales was rocked several times. But Morales knew he was up and was going to win a clear UD.

Cocky, machismo Erik Morales out to put a beatdown on Manny probably would have lost.

A GREEN Pacquiao took Morales' soul. What would a Prime Pac do to him?

Oh wait, don't tell me Pacquiao was prime back then? If Pac was prime back then, what is Pac now? SUPER PRIME? :rofl

he won most of his rounds by pushing Pac back into the ropes. Without machismo Morales doesn't win that fight.

I believe what Morales did on the 12th round led to hes downfall on the rematches....
