Fair enough. I should have specified that an Erik looking to beat his ass without carefully applied strategy and patience and trying to outslug him wouldn't have fared as well.

I believe with Ariza it would be well conditioned Pacquiao and strong at 130 but Morales is too damn tough and big for the weight. So Morales UD Pacquiao at 126-130.I don't see a stoppage by either one prime for prime coz their too tough. They will probably ROCK each other brains. I would expect this. OH yes SIR!!

It was probably the fact he struggled to make 130.

Morales is too G to be beaten @ 122. He destroys and makes a fool of everyone there.

I believe what he did in between fights made him lose the rematches

I'd give Morales the edge. I think his style and ability matches up well against Manny. I will say, however, that to say Manny could never have defeated a prime Erik Morales is ludicrous. All that being said, Pacquiao has two wins to Erik's one. That's two wins over Erik Morales no matter how you spin it.

Pacquiao`s peak is probably now at 147.... Morales peak was 122.

It depends on the weight they fight at IMO, you can only look at either guys fights at the weights both men have fought at & compare those versions.

122 - Morales beats the **** out of him everytime.
126 - Morales beats him fairly clearly but not as bad as the ***** slapping he dishes out at 122.
130 - The best versions of both guys at the weight would split fights likely & they would be close debateable decisions either way.
140 - Pacquiao likely stops Morales or wins wide on points.
147 - Pacquiao almost certainly stops the great man at this weight.

Or you could just see the noticable improvements. There's a reason he's looked better against the likes of Cotto, Hatton, and Clottey than he did against even the lesser opponents he fought at the lower weights like Larios, Solis, Sanchez, etc. He's gotten better and it's fairly obvious.

Morales got pasted in the 12th round btw. The whole point of it being badass was that Morales refused to turn back despite being whacked with nearly every left hand Pacquiao threw. I guess you could call it a clowning, as if he was mocking Pacquiao's power, but then he was rocked on several occasions and completely dominated in that round. I'd be more concerned with the question of whether or not any Morales could deal with even the Pacquiao of the 2nd fight, who had just begun integrating the right hook, improved head movement, and targeted body punching into his style. I think the answers a resounding no.

Based on styles......NO Pac would lose everytime. Morales in his prime was a true monster and one of the best I ever seen. Pac in his prime was also great but he also still got hit preety often and would be the same case, like Morales-Pacquiao 1

this is a good thread, GTFO of here!

    on the topic:

a 122 and 126 version of Pac would lose to a prime Morales. at 130, i'd give morales the edge, about 60/40. above that, Pac will demolish him.

btw, Erik's prime is at 122 and Pac's is at 135 and up, so it's hard to tell who would win in their prime.
