Anyway, who cares he didn't fight Campbell? He was moving to a new weight and wanted the easiest fight, which he got. That said, there's no point in arguing be should have fought Campbell instead of Diaz because that fight itself is so one sided too. Who cares?

And to argue Hatton is less of a fight than Holt is ridiculous.

Most off this is down to Arum anyway. It's his greedy insistance that Pacquiao fights Top Rank fighters, most of whom aren't African American.

There isn't even a typical African American style now either. Those days are gone.

I care that he didn't fight Campbell and while I think he would have beaten Campbell, I also thought Juan Diaz would have beaten Campbell as well, but I was pleasantly surprised, that is why you have fights, to see who would win. Campbell would have been a better and far more meaningful fight that David Diaz.

Hatton was less of a fighter than Holt that is fact, if you can't see that I feel for you.

I agree ARum has some say in this, so does Roach, but at the end of the day Manny can pick who he wants to fight, he is the cash cow for the stable, time he steps up and stops taking the easy way out.

 

Hatton's win over Malignaggi is more than Holt has ever done. He was still undefeated at the weight and, apart from one blip against Lazcano, looked dominant at the weight. What had Holt done?

And Pacquiao will fight anyone Arum picks. It's as simple as that. Maybe be should try for harder fights? Those harder fights aren't always against black fighters though. Cotto was the toughest oppnent at welter, when he could have faced Williams or Mosley. You can't criticize him for that.

The only criticism I see, is Diaz over Campbell but it was his first weight at the higher weight, after looking poor in recent fights. He deserved that.

The only african-american in Berto is being born in the united states. Both of his parents are from Haiti which is not even part of Africa!

When does one start becoming an african-american? Could we say that he is american-born Haitian or African-American(?) of Haitian descent? Besides Haiti is not exactly Africa but rather it is a Latin american country in the Caribbean, similar to Dominican Republic. If Guzman would become American citizen, would he be considered an African-american?

Mayweather
Mosley
Berto
Williams
Alexander
Bradley

Realistically, I don't see him fighting any of those guys except Mayweather. So if the Mayweather fight doesn't happen, Manny will most likely retire without fighting any Black American fighters. However, I have a good feeling that the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight will happen. In the end, these guys are judged on the quality opposition, not the race/ethnicity of opposition.
