Of the guys in my top 10-12 i think Marciano would have the best chance against Holmes, Frazier and Holyfield. I think he'd match up ok style wise with Ali too but Ali would be just too good.

Big George told me at a Dallas Promotional Book Signing that he was
was on a Cheeseburger, washed down by a 12 Fosters, diet.

Ewwwww Fosters hahaha. I travelled a little Europe recently and omg they gave me a Fosters on the plane home. I hadn't seen one in decades. They were still disgusting :D

That is not what we are seeing on the footage.

McVea is more of a reactive counter puncher on film, and that would have played right into Johnson's hands .

This is based on the extensive footage you have seen of him? That description was made by Tracy Callis and its backed up by Kevin Smith's analysis of McVey.Having read the accounts of his fights with Johnson and Jeannette you must know he came forward trying to pressure Johnson.
How well did other short pressure fighters, such as Burns,Ross,Flynn fare against Johnson?

Talk about a loaded question hahaha.

I'm not a pale ale or overly fancy beer man. I like the ones you can drink plenty of. Massive selling beer for years is XXXX Gold. It's mid strength and good value here. I drank it forever. James Boag premium is good. If you see any James Squire you could pick out your preferred beer type and give that brand a go. Pretty popular here.

Dear as hell and my favorite little Aussie beer is Stone & Wood Pacific Ale. Hard to get here let aone oversea's i would think. If you go for pale ales and such it's an entirely different question.

I have respect for both men , they both got to the top of the tree in their trade. Head to head , I've got Rocky doing what he did Best and coming forward , trying to work his way in .But he's facing a man with a great jab , excellent Chin and recovery powers .So when rock does manage to connect hard ,Holmes soaks it up and fires back .It could be a hard ,gruelling fight with both men suffering facial injury s and both shook .
I'm going to surprise myself and say it goes full fight with no kds .And Holmes winning by something like 10/5.Both had great chins so that's my prediction.

I just saw someone argue Holmes (a boxer) had a stylistic advantage over Marciano (a swarmer).

Yes Larry Holmes has an advantage over Marciano because he is 4.5inches taller, has 13 inches reach on him and 30lbs of muscle. He also is far more skilled ,faster of both hand and foot, and has a much better resistance to cuts.

Now make your case Smart Arse!

Despite our disagreements on boxing, this is one of the times where I do happen to agree with you that Holmes holds the stylistic advantage over Marciano.

I myself would favor Holmes over Marciano (though I'd pick Dempsey and Frazier to get the job done against Holmes) but to argue Holmes has a stylistic advantage over Marciano is nonsense. And Holmes is my 5th favorite heavy of all time.
