You are new to this trolling thing, Jaws? Maybe a more original angle would help. Ask John Thomas, he'll hook you up.

Sorry I misspoke, Holmes defended against seven fighters who were 30 or older.

While I do think Dago's post was a bit off and bias, Holmes certainly wasn't one of the best combo punchers. Guess he didn't need to be, but he certainly wasn't. My issue with Holmes in this matchup, or one against say, Foreman, is that he's almost lost when he gets hurt. He almost had too much heart and pride for his own good. When hurt, often times he'd resort to fighting fire with fire and try to slug his way out of it. That is a terrible idea against some fighters. That is my biggest question in this fight. If Holmes plays it smart, and fights conservatively, he'll win a decision imo. However, Holmes didn't always fight that way, and at some point Rock will hurt him and how he reacts will determine the fight. He's not KOing Holmes with a punch, but if Holmes gets hurt and tries to slug back, I think it could spell trouble for him.

It's not a personal attack it's the flat out truth. I'm just telling it like it is. Maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive after all you are 70 years old.

The difference between you and I is I actually watched Holmes' defenses. All of them. Ali's jab was way better, he actually stopped fighters with it. Ali actually threw combinations. Not just a sharp jab followed up OCCASIONALLY with a right hand. You need to go watch the fights and stop regurgitating the dogma of others.

What parts are off and where is my bias coming through? Check out the Norton fight. Holmes gassed against a 34 year old. Marciano would push him way harder than anyone he fought. The question should be whether or not Holmes could carry Marciano's jock strap.

It should perhaps be mentioned that against Norton, Holmes had a bicep tear.
I think Holmes tko's Rocky because of cuts if the fight is fought in the 70's, if the 50's, Holmes wins a decision.

38 years old Walcott was in front going into the 13th round. Holmes would be bigger , better, faster, and younger than Walcott,he also had a better chin, a great uppercut for the crouching Marciano , and a jab with 7 inches more reach on it. Holmes was vulnerable to the right hand, but when dropped by Shavers monster shot, he got up and went on to win,and by stoppage .
My money would be on Larry.

How many guys did Holmes stop on cuts again? Holmes was not better than Walcott in the skills department. Not even close. Holmes has probably the most one dimensional offense of any MAJOR heavyweight champion. Ever.

Have you seen the second Shavers fight? You need to take another look because the ONLY thing that saved Holmes was Shavers stamina tanking. Marciano was the complete opposite in that respect. His body would allow him to finish the job. Not gas out.

I watched his defences as they happened.I also taped them on video then bought them on DVD when that superseded it. I don't need to regurgitate others opinions, I've been watching boxing from ringside and on tv for over half a century.
The difference between you and I is unmeasurable and I am extremely pleased about that fact.

Not seventy until November the 21st, David Tua's birthday.
I'm not concerned about you calling Seamus and I dishonest, your opinion means nothing to me and I'm sure nothing to Seamus either.
As long as you keep your tongue out of the sewer ,and don't return to your last episode, all will be well and you might stay here long enough to learn something from some of the posters..

I've no desire to debate further with you, you have nothing to teach me, and I've no interest in your opinions.

I guess that makes you stupid then. Before you were ignorant.

You can guarantee it. You do nothing but push your own agenda and get into pissing contests with those that disagree with you. You literally have never change your opinion regarding classic boxing.

I couldn't care less. You both know you're dishonest hacks. That's enough for me.

If I was what you are then I would be scared to **** too. I got multiple posters agreeing with me when I called you out on your sick ****. You're pretty close to getting perma band btw for that sick **** I'll just let you know that right now. I imagine I'm close too if I keep exposing you.

This wasn't a debate to begin with. Everything I said was facts. I'm the one schooling you here because you're clearly very ignorant. It's a fact that Holmes fought with pretty much just a jab and a rare right hand. No combinations hardly ever. It's a fact his stamina wasn't great. It's a fact he defended against SEVEN fighters 30 or older. It's a fact he defended against NINE fighters who had 20 or less fights. It's a fact that he nearly lost the decision 3 times. Twice against fighters with 16 or less fights.

    I tell you some facts:

Holmes opponents and all of their opponents (1400+ boxers) had an average weight of 215lb.

Marcianos opponents and all of their opponets (1100+ boxers) had an average weight of 185lb.

Just leave that good fighters were they belong.

For the record, this description was dumb but I laughed anyway. RIP to David Bey.
