IMPOSSIBLE. Why? Because if you know the properties of Plaster of Paris you know that it is IMPOSSIBLE for it to be NOT noticed. Plaster of Paris heats up AGGRESSIVELY when wet due to the chemical reactions taking place. So aggressively that art students have had their hands literally COOKED OFF playing around sticking their hands into buckets of the crap. So if that stuff was in Margo's gloves and he didn't know? He would have known as soon as his hands got wet because they would have started warming up. He also would have felt them as he flexed his fist.

Next, Margo talked to the guy again. Honestly, would you do that if a guy risked that much with YOUR livelihood? Doubtful. You wouldn't talk or associate with the guy let alone forgive him this soon.

I am glad Margo is back. He did the time they laid down for his crime. Maybe he shouldn't get this fight, but the guy has a right to practice his skill. No need to play naive as though the guy wasn't doing the crime.

from what I understand it was not plaster of paris in his wrappings. The commissioner was in the room, his trainer slipped a substance in his wraps, he didn't dip his hands in plaster of paris.

Well the question is could Margarito have been innocent?

The answer is yes. Can't prove intent and well renowned trainers have went on record including Nazim Richardson stating that their experience is such that if they want want to slip something in that it could be done without the fighter's knowledge.

Lets face it in all likelihood Margarito is a high profile fighter defending his title, it makes far more sense that he knew what was going on but that is not what the question asks.

it really doesnt matter if he knew or not. they were on his hands, therefore he is responsible.

like drugs, someone brings it in your car or home, whether you know about it or not, you're responsible

I mean, yes. it's possible that he was innocent. is it likely? no. he's a professional fighter.

    only if reasonable.

what is more reasonable to me is that margo knew, paid capitello hush money and then promised to host the fight at the cowboys stadium so that billionaire guy could pressure the board into re-instating margos license.

im not saying that is what i think happened, but it is certainly more plausible than capitello dreaming up this plan and not involving anyone else.

Many top trainers say it's possible, so I can't go against them. The fighter won't be able to tell the difference before the fight and if they are removed without the fighter touching them, it's possible.

Margarito was part of this. In normal life, if two people are accused and one takes all the blame, you can't assume the other was in on it. Every single person on here will criticise Margo if he was in on it, but we can't prove that. We have to assume he is innocent.
