Of course he could be... I don't know what you guys are thinking... There was nothing different about the way his hands were wrapped and theres no reason they would have felt different...

Do you guys realize what a knuckle pad is and where it is placed... Or even how hard your hands are wrapped in order to protect every little bone in there.. Your hands are wrapped tight and hard, a small slightly harder knuckle pad would be very hard to tell for anyone wearing them..

I have trained in boxing and kenpo gyms. Even I can tell the difference between wraps and the way different people's work feels on my hands. I still do heavy bag workouts at my house and can tell differences between bag gloves/wraps immediately.

i admitted i have never had my handswrapped, i dont see how it is possible but like i said im no expert.

the real question, if margo is innocent, why would his trainer decide to slip the pads in vs mosley?

I've3 only sparred and hit bags.. Never no serious competition.. But I've been around and seen how tight most trainers wrap..

But the real question should be why didn't they do conclusive tests and find out EXACTLY what was on the wraps, instead of telling us they found traces of baby powder..

Winning trainers make more money, get more fighters in their stable, more work...

well apparently his license got denied so they feel as i do.

now im sure no other state will give him a license so i still this fight as a sham. god i hope he could find a way to prove his innocence it would be better for boxing and make this fight more credible.

    Unlikely, but possible.

I used to be a fan and hope he didn't know, but I honestly believe he did.

I'm not going to defend Margarito to say he's innocent, I will only say it's possible, but your assumptions are wayyyyy of track.

There are several possibilities that could make Margarito innocent

    1. Margarito always had his hands wrapped that way, didn't feel any different. (Very possible since he would immediately take his gloves off after fights. He definitely did this in the Cotto fight, and Clottey fight showing an injury sustained to his knuckles.

    2. If he never used those types of pads befire, the gauze doesn't harden until the later rounds meaning the knuckle pads probably feel normal initially.
    3. Coinciding with that point Nazim Richardson, Shane Mosely among others felt the pads and said they felt soft. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2009/02/antonio-margari.html
    4. Capetillo has taken full blame, if Margarito had more insight you would think Capetillo would maybe try to save face/possible business by sharing the blame.

All of those things could have led to Margarito's confidence dwindling for the actual fight.

I don't personally want to see Margarito fight, but again this is his livelihood and if he is carefully scrutinized over the rest of his career I'm sure he'd be reluctant to cheat. Plus, he doesn't personally wrap his hands, and if he has a reputable corner-man they would definitely be reluctant to cheat on his behalf.

How can anyone say yes? Margo admitted in court he knew it was wrong.

Let me say that again, He admitted he knew.

Anyone would know who has ever had their hands wrapped more than 10x.

:patsch Another one of these.... try telling that to trainers who said it's possible to slip something in w/o them knowing. Even Naz, who busted them, said it's possible.

Could he have been innocent? Yeah I'll give him a small chance, but I seriously doubt he was.

Margarito is innocent, I have never seen the so called irrefutable evidence.
