Could Mayorga beat Cotto?

If these two would fight, I would say Mayorga could win the upset. Reason being is that he will mind **** Cotto so bad that Cotto would brawl this guy. That plays right into the hands of Mayorga. Reason why Mayorga got slaughtered by DLH is b/c DlH stayed disciplined and didn't let Mayorga's taunts get to him or his gameplan. Can Cotto do the same? Doubtful b/c he is still learning how to be the in/out ring professional. His pride will not allow Mayorga to talk about his mama or baby mama and get slapped etc.

 

It is boxing... of course he could beat Cotto.

Of course if you were to ask is it likely that he beat Cotto... that would be a negative. Mayorga would basically have to hope Cotto ****s up and that he can knock him out when he does.

Should Mayorga really be considered in Cotto's class though? Wouldn't he be better as gatekeeper type fighter? A hilarious, crazy gatekeeper.

 

Cotto is far better technician that Tito ever was. Tito pretty much walked through Mayorga. I would expect nothing less from Cotto.
