Could Mayweather Do This To Tommy Hearns?

That was a smooth, slick, fast powerful 130 Mayweather

Hearns is a huge 147/big 154 with great speed/fast hands and huge power. As much of a Mayweather fan as I'm, Mayweather would be Corrales in that GIF and Hearns would be Mayweather.

Mayweather fights a much different style past 140, he hasn't done that to anyone but Hatton. Probably won't even again.

His golden days are behind him .

Hearns is not Corrales. Chico is very over rated (albeit still good), he was just made to measure for Mayweather. Hearns, on the other hand, is the exact type of fighter that i have always said would be Mayweather's hardest style match up.

Tommy Hearns wouldn't walk in head first, inviting the left hook. He would use his height, which Correlas never seemed to learn how, except for that fight against a prime Casamayor.

 

I find it hard to envisage anyone at 147 right now lasting the distance with Hearns; the guy is a total nightmare for everyone; big respect for what Leonard manage to pull off against him.

 

No disrepect to Diego Corrales, who was a fine boxer in his day. He's not Thomas Hearns.
I wouldn't count Mayweather out against anyone, but intell he dose it to Hearns. I wouldn't expect it to happen.

 

If Mayweather were to stop Hearns. It be more like the way Leonard stopped him. Mustering up every last resorce inside of him. To stop him in the late rounds. Leonard needed 14 rounds to do it. Mayweather would only have 12 rounds.

Tommy would not go down like that with Mayweather. I liked Diego and he was a good fighter, but Thomas Hearns was an ATG. Tommy would be using his jab to keep Mayweather at a distance.
