Could Mayweather do vs Margerito what he did vs Baldomir?

Exactly. Cotto fought a smart fight, but Mayweather runs?

Gimmie a break, Cottos back was against the ropes the whole fight and backtracks and thats not considered running.

PBF would win a wide decision, his defence and movement is on another level. Margo would have problem touching him with anythink and would be countered badly throughout the fight.

The first thing that will bother you when you have no energy are your legs. The legs go first.

Baldomir had no legs in that fight. He was completely drained. At 36 years old most guys end up at their natural weight because it becomes very, very hard to drain down in training. It left him on equal terms with Judah because Judah is a frontrunner who has nothing left in the second half. And against Gatti who is really nothing special at 147.

Margarito has the same chin as Baldomir but he is younger and far more energetic. He is good on his legs and he presses much faster and much harder. He is essentially far more physical than Baldomir.

Even though Cotto was landing sharper he was still getting caught downstairs. Those bodyshots are what started it all. And Mayweather, for all his head movement and whatnot would not dodge those bodyshots.

Mayweather would do what Cotto was trying to do. But he would have success.

    Hell NO.

Keep in mind that Baldomir has like a 20 percent KO ration and was still making Floyd run.

The pressure Baldomir put on Mayweather does not even begin to compare to what Margarito would bring.

Yes he can, Margarito is far too slow to land enough on Mayweather to seriously hurt him or even slow him down.

Fighting with insane speed, great movement(which requires great stamina and legs), great stamina, decent power is fighting like a *****?

Do you even know what a special fighter in boxing means?, how many like Arturro Gatti have we had already?, that's nothing special that's club fighting and once those guys are shot and their ability to take a punch slowly fades they're not worth ****. If you find all of that skills "***** fighting" then get the **** out of here and go back to the UFC, they already opened that up for ***gots like you to get the hell out of boxing already and leave the serious discussions for the true fans.

Margarito was smiling at some of Cotto's best shots what do you think he is going to do when he feels the power behind FLoyd's limp wrists:think

It's still the same, Margarito doesn't even know how to cut off the ring well enough to catch someone like Mayweather who will be constantly moving and moving, keeping Margarito dazed whilst landing fast punches here and there. Mayweather won't do what Cotto did and allow certain exchanges only to excite a few gays who cheer behind PCs or TVs then be called a "quitter" when he loses, he will fight his own fight all the way to a wide UD.

oh, this is now a matter of phasing after all. like cotto didn't got caught with hellacious shots from margo. if you think margo did not contribute to that fading of cotto, you're one dumb ****.

and floyd like to stick in the ropes and corners. margo would surely pick him apart there because mayweather wouldn't--for all his skills--avoid all the blows margo could throw with his long limbs.

Floyd won't even need to commit to all of his punches, he will just be the man throwing and landing more. Landing = points = rounds in the bank.

I think Mayweather could do it. Unlike Cotto he won't get gassed fighting off his backfoot all night. But the judges might not be impressed.

Of course Floyd will get caught and numerous times as well, but will it be enough to give Margarito more rounds?, I don't think so. You make it sound like a few punches to land from Margarito and this fight could be over!!, wake the **** up, Floyd has a great chin and Margarito is not a one punch KO artist, he'll need to land and A LOT to gain Mayweather's attention. You know what Mayweather is great/popular/praised(by serious boxing fans, not keyboard warriors that aren't worth junk) DEFENSE, expect it to play a major role here like it did in all of his fights.
