Could Mayweather do vs Margerito what he did vs Baldomir?

i'm not overrating marg's speed. but i'm not underrating it either. he has enough speed to cut the ring and cutting the ring doesn't need a speedster to be pulled off. a big fighter cuts rings better.

and it isnt correct to say cotto handled himself too well in the ring and "avoided marg's punches until his stamina failed him." it wasn't his stamina that failed him, it was his ability to keep marg off him that really failed. he basically couldn't hurt his opponent and that speaks a lot about mayweathre's ability to keep marg off him as well. cotto avoided a lot of punches but he did not avoid enough to save himself because he got tagged a whole lot. mayweather may have more defenses than cotto but i doubt he has more firepower to complement his defense. let's not forget cotto was able to get off the ropes not solely because of his defense but mostly because of his firepower. and yes, in the corner PBF will avoid many punches but like cotto he will get tagged a lot too so as to affect his stamina.

Yeah a big figher cuts the ring better but Margarito hasn't show any signs of that and there are many fights to prove that, the best is the Clottey fight.

Cotto was doing pretty great early in the fight, whenever he went to the ropes and decided to exchange/counter is when he got caught with punches he wasn't supposed to take, I mean 4 uppercuts in a row everytime Cotto went to the ropes, does it need to more predictable?

It's the excessive blood from Cotto's nose and cut that seriously slowed Cotto down as the fight went and no I'm not taking any credit from Margarito, those cuts didn't develop themselves, Margarito was the reason behind them but we can also blame Cotto for giving Margarito the advantage over and over by going to the ropes leaning with his head down BEGGING those uppercuts to land in full force over and over till his nose was busted and the serious damage was made. Losing so much blood, breathing from the mouth all damn night and eating serious shots in the process could be career ending, yet Cotto still stayed there and kept trying and trying. Mayweather WON'T do these mistakes, when Cotto was able to move his head in the corner he was able to make Margarito miss and counter him effectively, Mayweather will be moving all night and even when he's cornered he'll punch his way out of it or just side step out of it as Cotto even did with counters from Mayweather as well. For Margarito to land affective shots he will need to balance his self and position his self to start throwing punches with power, you think Mayweather won't spot that and quickly flurry his way out of it before Margarito starts unloading?, yes there will be moments during the fight where Margarito will be able to do that just don't expect it to be too often like it was in the Cotto fight simply because Mayweather has the speed, skills, experience, legs and smarts to spot that instantly and take advantage of it.

I don't think that Mayweather will allow Margarito to land enough when he's cornered, if anything Mayweather will be PREPARED for that knowing that when he's in the middle of the ring it's his advantage so to complete shut down any serious damage from Margarito he needs to fight off the corner or avoid that position in general, that's what he'll come prepared for and it was already proven that he can do that anyway and with Margarito's speed it will only make it easier early in the fight but will somehow change to danger late but he will also have the stamina to punch his way out of it as I already mentioned.
