Could Mayweather fighting Alvarez be a prelude for a potential Middleweight run?

Hey do you guys think if Mayweather does better than expected against the bigger Alvarez (who you could make a case of being Middleweight in the Junior Middleweight Division) that he may consider a jump to Middleweight altogether and collect another belt?

I know Mayweather is a very little man at MW but he certainly has the skills to pull this move off, and crazy moves like this has been done before (RJJ vs Ruiz for example). This could wonders for a already HOF career especially if he can fight the right Middleweight belt holder. Picture him moving up to MW and beating Martinez for example. what you guys think?

I dont see Floyd going up to Middle weight he will do a catch weight around 156 at best lets not get ahead of ourselves here he still has to beat Alvarez first and that isnt exactly a for sure thing here.

Floyd wouldn't go up to 160 just for anyone.

Martinez used to be the name thrown around, but he just got a gift decision in his last fight. Martinez could lose his next fight and rightfully get the lost this time.

If Mayweather is unwilling to fight Canelo at the full jr ww limit, I find it highly unlikely that he'd face an opponent at 160.

I can see Catchweather trying to fight Martinez at a 156 catchweight specially after the way Martinez has been looking recently, but the most likely scenario is him going back to 147 and have the rest of the fights he has left in his showtime deal at that weight.

No way, I can see him fighting a badly faded Martinez at a catchweight, at most

No way. If he dont want none of Canelo at 154 he isnt even thinking about the giants at 160

He is too small for MW. He is barely making JMW so I do not ever see him making a MW run. He had that long lay off and made WW so easily s I think he will stick to the lighter weights.

No, it's too risky health-wise. I'm sure he could have some success, but it isn't worth it to him.
