How is Floyd going to beat GGG? He didn't have the power to discourage GGG at all; he'd be walked down and brutalized unless he was on a bicycle all night which would be a possibility.

Anyway Floyd wasn't stupid enough to match with GGG.

Geale had to fight at a catch weight and was a shell of himself after GGG blasted him out. He wasn't the same Geale.

He could beat washed up Martinez, his old adversary Cotto, and guys like Geale and Macklin maybe. GGG knocks him out in 1 round.

Honestly, I don’t think Floyd would’ve truly thrived at 160.

Yeah, he had the skills — elite defense, insane ring IQ, perfect timing. That stuff doesn’t just disappear with weight. But at middleweight, you're not just fighting guys with power — you're fighting guys who are naturally bigger, stronger, and can take your best shots without blinking.

Floyd never had one-punch KO power even at 147. At 160? That power just wouldn’t be enough to keep pressure fighters like Golovkin off him. Even guys like Sergio Martinez or prime Canelo at 160 would’ve been hell for him stylistically.

Could he have grabbed a belt from a weaker champ? Maybe. But if we’re talking legit middleweight champs in their prime — nah, I don’t see it. Too much size, too much risk, not enough reward.

Floyd was smart. He knew where the line was, and 160 was just over it.

I doubt it. Mayweather has respectable power at welterweight and below, but I don't see it at middleweight. MW would walk Floyd down worse than Maidana and Castillo.

That was a shitty version of Geale, at a catchweight too. Geale retired the following year. A prime Geale would have been a nightmare for Floyd, due to the size difference and styles.

Now someone whom Floyd could have beaten were Sebastian Sylvester and Felix Sturm(easy picking from 2010 to 2013).
