I think most of us know that some of his behavior is contrived to make him out to be the bad guy or the "heel" in pro wrestling parlance.

But if he was like a "Babyface" like Ray Leonard, could he still be a box office attraction?

Either way floyd is going to be the ppv king. If anything being the good guy could knock down his buys fractionally, we all know the real floyd flash and cocky so if he was anything but that you'd just automatically think he's being fake and may turn a small percentage away or alternatively more people will want to see him lose lol

No. He just doesn't fight in the way you'd like. And thats being honest. While a lot of us love the sweet science and how Mayweather breaks down people etc.

The average public fan wants knockdowns and knockouts and Mayweather made it so people watch him to lose.

Floyd would not be on top of the PPV world right now if he was a babyface.

no. He doesn't have the record and ability for it. He'd be a star in boxing but not of this magnitude. His gift of gab takes him a long way.

BAM! That makes the most sense. If he was a slugger like De La Hoya or Trinidad...he would not even have to speak proper English...let alone English...or Spanish...or anything, ha! People like Winky Wright and Joshua Clottey would be big sellers if they had a more open personality and jaw jacked their opponents. People either pay to see you lose, beat up or you beat up your opponent...period.

If he fought like the way he beat Gatti, I think he would still be a big attraction being the "Babyface".

I watched tyson because of his ability to get you out of there, if the fight went the distance i would be a little disappointed. I watch floyd because of his skills, if the fight went the distance it still was a good show.
