Could Mayweather survive 15 rounds with Sugar Ray Robinson?

It depends. How many fights has SRR fought in that year? He would take on fights around a week after having a fight, carrying injuries into the fight, not anywhere near 100% etc. Worse medical care before fights etc.
I'd pick a 2 fight a year Mayweather over that version of SRR, sure.

This is why I don't want to hear Mayweather TBE nonsense...Mayweather would lose far more often than SRR if Mayweather was in his position.

 

I think he goes the distance, wouldn't bet on him to win or look brilliant but I don't see Floyd as anything less than durable or fresh out of ideas against anybody.

 

Na... He gets schooled by the real great who fought 10-15 times a year... Let alone the 24 rounds mayweather does a year

Ray killed guys in the ring. I don't even like Floyd, but I wouldn't wish the kind of beating Robinson would dish out on him. That's like asking him to get in the ring with Mike Tyson. It's just not fair.

Ray is taller, stronger, with longer reach and better technique. They are about even in terms of speed but Ray's longer arms would get there first. Ray was almost light heavyweight champion for God's sake.

It would be as lopsided a fight as Hearns vs Duran. Good as Duran was, he couldn't overcome the reach height and strength advantages Hearns held over him.
