i think a lot of that punch was the product of ricky and his lack of head movement and telegraphing his attack

but i suppose if Floyd were to get caught like that though not likely he would definitely go down, maybe beat the count not really sure

If Floyd got hit exactly the same way Hatton did, then he's going down and he isn't getting up.

But like you said, Mayweather would never get hit with a shot like that if they fought a million times, there is as close to zero chance of Pacquiao landing a shot like that on Floyd as it is possible to get.

Floyd takes a better punch to his chin than he does his temple

No one 160 or below survives that shot. That shot wasn't about chin, conditioning, etc.. It was a perfectly timed shot with the peak of its impact landing at the perfect time. It would buckle a Klit, I think. The first right hand Mosley landed was a reaching shot. The second was a nice looping right hook. Pac's shot was set up, with his legs planted and perfect positioning. The Pac shot was harder than the second Mosley shot.

Margarito took 400 of them and he was rushing forward the whole night

Margarito ate 400 powershots. Hatton ate 1 once in a lifetime shot.

The more interesting question is if Wladimir Klitschko could take that shot.
    I say no.

Watch it again. Pac baits him with a lazy jab, makes Hatton commit his hands, and Pac follows it up with a huge PERFECTLY TIMED overhand left. There's a method to the madness if you know what you're looking for.

Yep. It's not discrediting anyone. What Hatton essentially did was stick his chin out to absorb the greatest shot a pretty hard puncher has ever thrown. If Wlad stood there and let Pac land that shot, he's not getting up. He might not lose conciousness, but he's not getting up. to beat the 10 second.

You have never taken a punch in your life if you think its easier for ANYONE to take a punch on the chin, than it is on the temple.

The chin and to the back of the head/to the ears are the most vulnerable spots.
