I don't say I'm right, but it looks fishy all these situations at the same time on PPV in Vegas, Merchant and all. Still a fan of the sport anyhow.

Its business, make the sport survive while keeping it competitive with other sports at all costs! even if it means staging the fights! who wouldnt take a ko to the face for 2.5 mil?

Could be. You would think Ortiz would be smarter, than to deliberately head but Mayweather, hug and kiss him, repeatedly apologize and then leave himself open like he did.

i hate to admitt it, but i 100% think it was fixed, it just seems too obvious...

    1) ortiz blantantly head butts mayweather and ortiz isnt known as a dirty fighter to throw a head butt, especially not that obvious, i know people say he did it because he was frustrated that none of his punches were landing, but still come on, that charging rhino head butt just seemed too blantant

    2) he repeatedly apoligizes/hugs mayweather, as if he was kindof feeling him out to seem when he was gonna get socked and take a dive

    3) cortez (who i absolutely cant stand and i hope never refs a match ever again because hes awful) just looks away after he calls time in and the 2 boxers meet up in the center of the ring, him just "happening" to look away as the "villian" sucker punches his oppenent took me back to when i watched WWF in middle school, seemed too fishy

    4) even though it happened fairly fast, after ortiz gets hit with that slap hook from mayweather he seemingly looks over at cortez only to get smacked with the right a second later, now any normal person, nevermind a trained fighter, would immediately put his guard up and defend himself from further punches, it's just a natural reaction from the brain, some people say he was stunned, but it still seemed like he had enough sense in him to look over at cortez like he was in shock that happened, it seemed that after mayweather connected with that left he knew to keep his guard down cuz that was when he was gonna get socked with the right and thats all she wrote

obviously we will never know one way or another if it was fixed or not, but it just seemed way too scripted to me...

    also forgot...

    5) ortiz and his team seemed way too happy at the end, if i just got sucker punched and knocked out in the fight of my life, theres no way id be smiling about it or hugging and shaking hands with the guy that did it afterwards, id be pissed as hell, maybe even to the point of throwing blows gloves off afterwards, then mayweather fist pounds all of ortiz's team after the fight, gimme a break, if someone just did that to my fighter or brother (in the instance of victor's brother who pounded floyd back) id tell him to get the ****k outta here not respectually shake his hand back

Could explain the repeated hugging and apologizing. It took that many "shots" to get it right. Ortiz might have fumbled a few times. I remember seeing Floyd nod his head before the cheap shot. Makes for a good conspiracy theory.

yea i remember that too, but its hard to tell if it was a "yeah we cool after that headbutt" nod or "yeah get ready cuz here comes the sucker punch" nod........oh well, hopefully he'll man up and fight pacman next

I think May vs PacMan will never happend, even if it would be «the fight» everybody wants to see.
