Really? I know Tyson fell over throwing a right hand at him in 1988 but have never heard of McCall dropping him 1990 or other.

I haven’t watched the sparring videos, but a two minute search is strongly suggestive that McCall dropped Tyson.

(And he should’ve considering how many rounds he put in with him.)

I am leaning toward he didn't, ever. Open mind however.

All I found so far ""It was the worst I've seen him," Tocco said. "He was not in condition when he left here.
"He was having a rough time with Greg Page, he could do nothing with Trevor Berbick and even Oliver McCall gave him a bad time one day. Page hadn't looked that good against anyone in years."

    Will continue to keep looking.

I checked again. It looks more like unconfirmed rumors. The sparring footage of the two is pretty great though:

Wonder if McCall cried before each sparring session too.

McCall probably performs better than expected but I dont think he is going to be able to put a sustained beat down like Douglas did in Tokyo. McCall was also Tyson's sparring partner for a time so Tyson is going to know McCall better and what to expect.

Lets also remember the judges were very generous to Tyson in the Douglas fight at the point of the stoppage, so if McCall goes to the cards I would think Tyson surely wins.

Douglas got Tyson out in the tenth, which means there were still over two rounds left to finish 12. I feel like it's a given that Tyson wouldn't be stopping McCall in Tokyo. He'd have a long road ahead if he started gassing out in the late rounds. I wouldn't favor McCall, but I wouldn't have favored Douglas either. I definitely see a chance for a late stoppage by McCall.

Yea no way Tyson is stopping McCall, and sure il give McCall a chance at possibly stopping Tokyo Tyson, but i think a more likely scenario is Tyson wins an uninspiring (controversial even) 12 round decision.

In an interview with McCall, when McCall went back to the Tyson camp after losing to Douglas, Tyson proceeded to make fun of McCall saying he couldnt believe that Oliver could have lost to someone the caliber of Douglas and he just missed out on a million dollar payday with Mike. McCall responded that Douglas was no joke and hit him harder than hes ever been hit. Tyson obviously did not heed the warning.

    Very much doubt it. Reasons...

    McCall wasn't that good
Tyson wasn't that bad in Tokyo

McCall probably would have had 'sparring partner' syndrome for this one.
