You're only as good as you prepare for a fight ,particularily given away so much reach, one has to be on point ,theres a reason douglas did not give Tyson a rematch but went for Holyfield,Tyson would beat Douglas 5 out of 5 after that FLUKE...you are behind the times!

Yeah i remember that and I backed joe.. But just because I'd pick Frazier to best douglas doesn't mean he's beating Tyson. Let's face it. A 6'4" 230 lbs rangy boxer has nothing in common with a 5'11" 205 lbs swarmer. Nothing at all. Douglas beat Tyson by using a well placed left jab with the reach to make it connect while rocking him with powerful right upper cuts... Not bobbing and weaving and slipping jabs and throwing left hooks.. While frazier's upper body movement was magnificent, it would likely work against him when facing tyson.

Douglas also didn't stand still in front of Tyson, he was feinting. Doubling, tripling his jab, moving side to side, doing everything to keep Tyson off balance and unable to land his own bombs.

The one second Douglas stood still. Tyson saw the opening and boom, down went Douglas from what was a half ass uppercut.

Frazier on the other hand, will be serving his own chin to Tyson on a dish.

Slither back into the water with all the other pond life, you know nothing lump of dog excrement. Also try removing Tyson's genitalia from your rectum, that might help.

The English authoress Barbara Cartland ( related to the late Princess Diana ) is dead. There might well be an opening in the romantic garbage market she wrote, for you.:yep

I agree with your observations, but I sincerely believe it was a cynical ploy by Douglas. It was for him an opportunity for a lottery win, if you will, all he had to do was take his job seriously for one fight, and expose what he obviously knew was an over hyped bully.

I have no idea what he got paid for the Tyson fight, but it was reported he got 30 million for the Holyfield one. We all know he reverted back to type for that debacle, took a nothing shot, went down and it was reported he put a sign on his gate saying " gone fishing " and was never seen in a ring again for 6 years.

My point is if Douglas could work out that Tyson was fuk all other than a bully, so could Frazier, and easily. Joe would also be able to smell the fear in Tyson the way a dog can smell a rabbit.

Of course Tyson " could " beat Frazier, but these stupid fanboys of his with their Tyson destroys Frazier easily is pure sh it.

    FACT.

Tyson QUIT trying to fight 6 times, fouling out in 1 of those 6 fights.

    FACT.

Frazier NEVER quit trying to fight, no matter how bad it got in there.

One is a warrior, the other is scum.

There most certainly was a reason. Stumpy didn't WANT one. A good beating like that takes a lot of getting over, hence they fed him the completely unremarkable Tillman for his return to the ring.

Your opinion is duly noted.. No, the old Douglas didn't want Tyson again... "Tokyo Douglas" was a one time shot, he never came back.. Buster fully prepared for that one FLUKE performance ... Tyson could never beat the Buster who showed up in Tokyo. You are right, Tyson would've beat the other Douglas the next four fights.. The whole post was just a whimsical notion of mine, which can exclude facts. I like to think about what if's ... if that puts me behind the times.. so be it..:bbb

Douglas and Frazier are nothing a lkke.

If you think a man who gives you the chance to uppercut him all day is going to bully tyson youbare crazy.

Comparing Douglas to Frazier shows ydksab

Styles make fights.. always has.. Frazier, Norton, Ali, Foreman all had their own unique style... Norton and Frazier both get knocked to hell by Foreman.. but they both gave Ali hell.. .Then Ali drags Foreman to hell.. Yes, it seems Frazier's style is made to order for Tyson's hellish uppercut.. For Frazier to win he has to take it to deep waters.. could he get him there? I would bet on an unlikely upset win for Frazier.. Here's why..A right uppercut leaves a mighty big opening for a left hooker.. and Frazier's hook is closer and faster to the chin. ..if he lands his Sunday punch first.. Tyson might not want to throw it again.. and with Frazier on his chest, it might be the only punch he can get off with power, unless, of course, it is served up on a silver platter..But he has to be alert, Frazier's side dishes were hard to swallow...:think it's hell....

Speed kills.Frazier is no where near his speed,Tyson by the way had a better hook than Frazier, shorter more compact and obviously more powerful ,Tyson has k.o highlite reels that show how great his hook is.The notion Tyson needs an uppercut is false,he thru every punch with both hands.

Frazier is popular for his left hook because that's all he had besides decent body punches.
