Mormeck could bang with Adamek for 4 rounds then he would collapse from exhaution.

    No.

Mormeck was on the slide when David Haye fought him. He wont do much at heavyweight imo.

He's still breathin'? I thought that dude had thrown in the towel long ago. Hell, if there's room for Queenpin then I guess there's room for him, too.

NO he wont he isnt mobile enough, if Adamek would have fought the way Mormeck does he would have still been on the canvas.

Momeck's stamina has always been a liability at cruiser. In both his wars with Bell he tired and it meant his doom in their first fight. He was lucky to change tactics in their second fight to run out the clock and protect his lead to get the decision.

In against guys much bigger than the cruisers he fought how will his stamina hold up? His punch resistance diminishes when he tires too and heavies hit even harder than Bell or Haye....or the average heavy hits comparably at least as hard.

He'll be giving up more height and reach at heavy than at cruiser and needs to employ an effective style to work in close to do damage....plus always have better stamina than his opponent that forces them into a faster pace than most heavies like.

At this stage of his career there is a big question mark as to whether he can make these necessary adjustments to be successful against the big boys(at least bigger than cruisers that is.....people forget that cruisers are not exactly small)

No. Mormeck got lucky and became champ when the best fighters in the division, JC Gomez, Toney and Jirov, all moved up. He was never really a big cruiser, he just fell in love with weights and bulked up a lot, thus developing poor stamina. Mormeck would have lost to Adamek at 200, and a bunch of other active cruisers. He has not shot at heavy.

No way. Mormeck is WAY past his prime and looked awful in his first HW fight.

Adamek still has a decent year or two left to make a mark.

The Oquendo fight will tell how far he can go. Mormeck seems to prepare seriously but don't forget this HW campaign is also a way to lauch his career as a promoter. Mormeck is a chance for the french boxing scene imo. He found a good channel to broadcast his cards (Orange Sport, and Orange has €€€ !), he signed the european champ A.Mezaache and the 2008 olympic silver medallists D.Sow and K.Djelkhir.

In 2007, the guy was shot. Now he's old, in active, outsized, and shot. So no I doubt he'll amount to much at heavyweight.

No, Mormeck won't have the impact at heavyweight Adamek has. Actually I think Oquendo beats him. Mormeck is now too old and too small to compete at the top level of the heavyweights. If he beats Oquendo he might land a big fight at heavy but he won't be a factor there. He was a good cruiserweight and if he would have made the move several years ago he may have had some sucess but not now.
