And your "argument" isn't even an argument, it's same as a little kid covering his ears and yelling so he doesn't hear you.

No ****ing ****, a gun will win against any fighter in the world. Why not bring tanks and helicopters into conversation, since in "real fight" there are NO RULES!!!
That isn't what the argument is about, and if you're too dumb to realize we're not speaking about heavy artillery when talking about "street fight" than this conversation was doomed from the get go. This, in fact, is the case way too often for me to contain my hope for humanity.

one man cant bring a tank to a fight but he can bring a weapon or his friends in on it.

want to try a real fight, you get suckerpunched in a real fight if you get hit in the back of the head you cant complain to the ref, or get stood up. you fight guys out of your weightclass in a real fight.

lets not pretend were morons here, the "real" fight argument is stupid people dont go for leglocks or kamuras when they want to smash your face in.

when people say MMA is real fighting, I say eye gougeing, groin strikes, small joint manipulation, head stomps, weapons of any kind, no handwraps,no gloves, no weightclasses, you can hold onto the cage, no preparation and training for your opponent for 6 weeks, fights can be more than one-on one,.........ect,ect,ect................

I could go on for probably a whole page, point is its not a real fight, however it is closer to a real fight then boxing but still miles away.

In real fights two guys usually throw punches at eachother, theirs a reason boxing became what it is. real fights people dont pull guard.

its all really silly and way below both of our intelligences.

I watch boxing not because its two guys with bad attitudes batteling it out, but because I find it entertaining, their is skill involved.

real fights are done without skill or a plan, you can have your real fights they are boring compared to "watered down boxing."

Real fights you're talking about is between amateurs who don't know how to fight. That isn't the point. Point is finding what is effective when you put two people in a room and let them kill each other.

I'm disregarding things that should fall under common sense to disregard when comparing different combat disciplines. Sucker punch works against every, eye gouging works against anyone, knifes work against everyone, all cheap stuff you can think of works against everyone.

Point is, in hand to hand combat I'll be much more successful eye gouging you if I'm grappler because I have understanding of how to take you down, control you and your arms. In fact, in a "real fight" you're talking about, if you try to eye gouge me while I'm on top of you. I will break you arm or choke you until brain damage or death. Same **** with groin shots.

So again, MMA might not be perfect indicator of two people in a room in a fight to the death, it's the closest thing we have.
So, in street fight if someone is trying to pick a fight with me, I'd rather have had training in MMA(striking, grappling) for 5 years than any kind of karate's etc.
Obviously, knowing Sambo, kravmaga techniques for disarmament would be also great addition.

This was backstage at PRIDE. It wasnt a street fight and doesnt qualify as one in my view as both are professional mixed martial artists.

The closest you'll get to street fight is Vale Tudo (where there are no rules) and PRIDE where foot stomps knee's to grounded opponent and soccer kicks were allowed.

All that is implied by a "street fight" in my book is a lack of regulations. I understand that they were both mixed martial artists. I was responding to some people stating that the Couture/Toney fight would've somehow ended differently if no referee were involved.
