Could Napoles at his best pull out a Duran-style win over Leonard?

    Ah no, you're misunderstanding me there. I wasn't suggesting that Leonard sort of randomly fluctuates in quality from one night to the next. It just seems that sometimes he chooses to fight conservatively, patiently sticking the jab etc., and other nights he just walks his opponent down, swallows what he has to in the confidence he can take the guy out when he wants, e.g. vs. Mayweather, Kalule etc. I wasn't saying that one version is better than the other; it's just that he has radically different fight plans in different fights (part of his all-round greatness). Leonard is Leonard as you say. My point is that it's difficult to know what he'll do against Napoles - go hell for leather and hope to win a brawl with his physical gifts, or box and risk being forced into heavier exchanges than planned. Or we could see a bit of both, like the middle rounds of the Benitez fight.

    Oh ok, sorry if i jumped the gun a bit there Itrymariti. Well yeah, you make a valid point definitely. I'd think we'd see a bit of both probably, likely some typical feeling out early on, and the more intense fighting after a few rounds or so.

    I feel Leonard was mainly a Boxer-Puncher like we see with Green, Kalule, Hearns to an extent and Duran I. I feel because he beat Duran with all the moving and boxing, he can often be type-casted as a boxer, rather than what he was - a boxer-puncher.

    :good Yey Mando is a good guy he has told me the same in person. Another great fighter he fought that he didnt mention was Emile Griffith he was up and coming and gave Griffith a tough fight but Griffith to experienced for him. He was pretty right on about Pac and Cotto. I guess he knows that he was passed it when he fought SRL as SRL beat him easy,and he basically could have gotten the first fight with Napoloes, the 2nd fight was decisive for Napoloes but he was still competetive. In person i asked him in his prime how he would have done against SRL. He was very humble an said oh SRL would always have been to fast for me. I guess he sees something in the styles of both fighters that makes him go with Napoloes so easily.

    I don't think Napoles would crowd Leonard, however he would slip and counter as Duran did, and land the more telling blows. Which would win Napoles the UD IMO.
