Could Hamed have made a comeback after Barrera?

Sure, as long as he stayed away from the elite.

There were a lot of elite fighters around the weight at the time. The reason he took on Barrera was because he thought he was in the slide after the Jones and Morales losses.

Had Hamed come back he'd have been thrown to the sharks lurking at that level and he knew it. I think he thought it better to not fight again and have people suspect he'd lose to MAB, Moralea etc. rather than actually fight them and remove all doubt.

If his hands weren't screwed he would bum rushed Barrera

Only pacquiao a few years later beats him

    And barerra is an atg

    Marquez ducked him

Morales vs Hamed would be a classic

Yeah, i thing so. He's like Pacquiao but hit harder and has a shakier chin. I believe he would of lost, won a few with a few controversies a long the way and made a name for himself as a star in this sport.Had he not quit he would be a campaigning at 140 pounds max and probably win 3 weight divisions world championships.
