Could Pacquiao have cherry picked anyone harder than Antonio Margarito?

Assuming that Margarito is cherry-picked, well that is how to annihilate a cherry-picked opponent.

JMM was more obviously cherrypicked by Mayweather, Molsey was also cherrypicked, Hoya as well----- But the cherry picking was done with the gentlest hands possible, not even bruised. I guess Pac's cherry picking ways does not jive well with you because he crushes the cherry.

I just don't think Margo was worthy of a title shot. There were more worthy people who haven't cheated who should have gotten that opportunity cherry picking or not.

Also how was Mosley a cherry pick when I thought May was forced to fight him? How was Hoya a cherry pick when he set the date for the fight after yrs of being called out? JMM you can say was a cherry pick, but he was also the lb 4 lb #2 so even though the weight they fought at was completely in Mayweathers favor. He was still more worthy of a shot at Mayweather then Margo was for Pac. He was more worthy then many of the fighters out there.

Also Mosley was a top rated WW champ when Mayweather fought him. Hoya was a top rated junior middle weight champ.

First of all, remember that Pac wanted the Margarito fight after DLH, but he was still untested at WW, and Margarito was considered the man at WW at the time. It would've been as reckless to match him up with Margo then as it would be to match up with Sergio Martinez now.

It wasn't career-ending bad, it was just a domination the likes of which Margo hadn't faced and wouldn't until Pacquiao. And it was against Shane Mosley, who had all the motivation in the world to win the fight.

We still don't know exactly how long this was going on. That doesn't change the fact that he has good power (just not necessarily as dangerous as shown in the Cotto fight), well above average stamina, one hell of a chin, and a relatively high work rate.
Personally, I think official in-ring activity is overrated. For an example, look at Mayweather coming back from his "retirement." There's sparring in training camps for a reason.

He didn't look AMAZING in his comeback fight, but it was still a one-sided UD.
And yet Margarito was in the best shape of his life and rehydrated up to a 17 pound weight difference. BTW, fought at WW for most of his career, was reportedly drained for the Mosley fight, and Pacquiao barely even hits the welterweight limit of 147 on FIGHT NIGHT.

Is there anyone that Pacquiao could have cherry picked even more? Well, when you take it at face battle with YOUR points, no. That **** doesn't happen every day. Conversely, was there anyone else with more potential drama surrounding his return fight? Absolutely not. Could Pacquiao have picked a weaker opponent for another title? Hell ****ing yes.

Pac in a close fight = he's overrated

Now I'm mad! How dare that former light flyweight cherrypick De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito. He sent all of them to the hospital while he sang in parties and concerts.

That Manny Pacquiao is nothing but a cherrypicker!

wow thanks for proving my point. you are actually proud he fought those fighters and when he did. If I was clueless or a ******* I might be impressed too, but I actually know the context of all these fights and why he fought them when he did. Oh and people have this tendency to weigh more than they did when they were 16. I think Mike Tyson weighed 130 pound at one point too.

I'll probably take you a little more seriously when you show me a post where you actually say Pac cherrypicked any of these guys BEFORE their fights. When you say it after the fact, it's just excuses. Pathetic.

Yeah Tyson weighed 130, when he was like 12. Pac was 96 pounds fighting as a pro flyweight at age 16. Pac will keep on winning, you'll keep hating. You lose.

So you don't mind people like Arum monopolizing the sport and making a killing while feeding the fans garbage fights. Yes, Robinson fought journeymen, but times were different then, and he probably fought them for peanuts, just to stay active. Pacquiao is making over $20 million fighting journeymen, and somebody is getting screwed. You are also advising the fans just to take this ****, don't complain, and just stop watching the sport.:patsch **** that. Who pays the fighters their salaries?

I will be damned if I just let greedy ****s like Arum single handendly try to ruin the sport, and not say **** about it. While Pac is doing his thing with these shady in-house fights, other deserving challengers are getting left out in the cold making little money. They wanted Marquez to fight them for less than a million while Pac takes about twenty, for ****s sake. There is something really wrong here.

Huh? What journeymen has Pacquiao been fighting? I must have missed someone. You know what a journeyman actually is, right, sport? None of Pacquiao's last eight opponents haven't had a major world title attached to their names at some point. I don't have any problem at all with that kind of competition level. If you do, I couldn't care less. Now, if you can show me any instance at all where Manny Pacquiao has made 20+ million dollars at any time fighting a journeyman, please, do tell.
