Na Cottos alot stronger at 147 and Paulie isnt the type of fighter who could be stronger at a higher weight. I give all the credit in the world 2 him though for that fight 2 years ago he took alot of punishment in pretty much his first fight agianst a serious fighter and he still won 5 rounds on my card and most others. Paulies a hell of a fighter he just didnt show up vs Ngoudjo.
He is a solid fighter but I think hes a step below I saw his fight vs Bailey and I thought Bailey got a raw deal. Paulies world class when he shows his A game I think he will beat Hatton he has a good style to do so.
i dont know like relentless said hes a tough S.O.B. and plus if he decided to box and move a little more he will give Cotto problems. im just being honest see im a Cotto fan
At 147, Malignaggi gets stopped in the mid rounds. Cotto's strength advantage would be highly evident (even more so than their first fight), his stamina would be improved meaning he wouldn't have to fight in spurts, and Malignaggi wouldn't be fighting at the weight that best suits him. Cotto would destroy him again, but this time the judges don't have a say.
It hasn't shown but Cotto took something outta Paulie in that fight. Cotto is probably the only guy who can make Paulie look bad all over again because of his brute strength. At 147 Cotto is even better and will put him away. Malinag will beat Hatton though.
Agreed. I'd be very surprised if it goes past the 6th round. Good avatar, Cotto looks so strong there.
Cotto is far better at welterweight than he is at lightwelter. His stamina has improved and is alot stronger now. Paulie on the other hand will be fighting above his best weight where he won't be as strong and his punches will be even weaker (If that's possible). Cotto will walk him down and TKO in the middle rounds.
Yes . . . why not? Paullie is not the kind of fighter who will stand and trade so it's not impossible that it's going to the full route if they fight again.
