Paulie would not make it past 5 against the Cotto of today. IMO
MC's boxing ability & Confidence have tripled since he fought Paulie last..
that being said, Cotto will destroy the "Magicman" worse than last time.

Stay away from this match up Paulie, we know your tuff bro..
avoid Cotto like the plague and challenge someone else.

I don't think he'd survive to hear the final bell against Cotto at 147, and I hope to hell it's a fight he wouldn't take.

    Nope!!!

IMO, the only reason he survived the first fight is b/c he was doing some excessive holding.

Like many others have already stated, he would have no strength at 147. Cotto would just walk thru his punches and destroy him.

I think the main reason he survived is due to Cotto being so severely weight drained. Cotto was sucking wind after 5 rounds. From that point on, he was pretty much fighting in spots. Cotto, physically, was at his weakest in that fight and still handled Malignaggi clearly, rearranging his face in the process. A 100% Cotto more than likely stops Paulie before the half way mark.

    No way!

If there ever is a next time he'll rip the guy to shreds. (Not that he didn't the last time). It lasted twelve rounds, but looking back Malignaggi would have preferred a quick KO. The guy ended up in hospital.

If it happened at 147, this post is spot on unless Paulie hops on his bike and tries to pot shot his way to 12.

Quintana would probably stop Malignaggi at 147

Only way Paulie survives 12 rds is if he borrows PBF's brass knuckles from wrestlemania - even then I doubt it would help much

Cotto stops most at Welter, Paulie included if he moves up.

I doubt Paulie would go the 12 with Cotto again, not at 147. He got busted up enough at 140.

    Exactly.

The only rounds Paulie "won", are rounds Miguel gave him due to inactivity.

If Cotto wasn't so weight drained, he would have blanked Paulie 12-0.
