Paulie has the better footwork in this fight, khan's footwork is average....One of the strong points of hatton, was he could close the distance against paulie....I still think this fight will be fought on Paulie's terms....Where he will get on his horse and move....and it will turn khan into a pressure fighter.... Paulie's handspeed is not his primary weapon, it's his movement....That is what befuddled diaz, and I expect it to cause khan problems....However, Khan is smarter then Juan Diaz, and is coming in as the favorite for a reason....bigger, younger, world champ....
Khans footwork is a bit underrated. Paulie's got a good jab, I think you will see Khan move a lot better in this fight than Paulie. I think everything Khan will do will be better. But we'll see on the night. I can just imagine Paulie popping that jab to Khan whilst circling. I think he will get knocked out, I don't know if you notice but in the pad session (recent on youtube) Paulie is throwing his jab and his right hand is coming out towards his right, if he makes that mistake its a Salita type job. That right hand needs to be glued to his face. I'm not suggesting the pad work replicates what he does in the ring, but I would imagine it should be looked at.
upset decision?Absolutely. Paulie is very speedy and moves great.against B fighters.Cotto obviously ****ed him up and Hatton ****ed him up but Khan isn't either of those guys. As far as a surprise KO? If Paulie's hands are healed up and no longer prone to breaking like balsa wood, then yea.He buzzed Diaz and he was even shocked that he did it.
Manchester Micheal Gomez, who was one opponent to deck Khan said he had no power just blinding speed but if the pub brawler can take the fight to him,Malignaggi should do better, although Khan must of improved since Roach started training him.I hope the Hype merchant gets ko`d again anyway.
