Yes hes durable enough and big enough to survive the distance, this is a man who went the distance with Frazier, Ali x2, and two big punchers like Mac Foster, Ron Lyle. I'm pretty sure he can go the distance with a Cruiserweight, and if Bugner was motivated he could give Marciano problems aswell.

Of course. Strong lad, solid chin, safety first attitude. He'd be more than happy to lose a decision.

Quite feasible that Bugner would go the distance with Rocky.

I feel confident Bugner would go 15 rounds against Marciano, and would be very able to cause Marciano a few issues, a tall, strong, big ol unit, 220+ pounds and a 82 inch wing span, who had the ability to see the final bell against ATGs

Yes but he'd run all night, lose a decision and complain that he was robbed.

Why ain’t he winning. He’s got a good jab, mobility, stamina and durability. All this Rocky would be relentless is too easy an answer. Rocky was a small cruiserweight in comparison to Bugner. He’d put no more pressure on Bugner than Frazier did. As for Rocky’s punch. Joe just stands there and lets him batter him. No chance.

Excellent chance to last the distance.

For a boxer, while Joe was often a great pacifist, he could let those fast hands go with some clout - as we saw against the already referenced Frazier.

A certain level of duress might be the key to rile Joe up some, ignite him into some aggressive counter action - the type of swarming pressure Frazier brought to Joe - akin to the pressure Rocky would undoubtedly bring also.

Of course I’m talking the best version of Joe - the loveable “Aussie” Joe Bugner version.

I just can't visulize Joe beating Rocky. Remember, he almost lost to Henry Cooper in his last fight.
    Just different level s imo.

Who was Rocky fighting at the age of 21, and in what physical condition was he in?
21 yr old Bugner would have annihilated 21yr old Rocky in a boxing ring.
