all wlads opponents try and fight until the feel the power then it turns into survival mode.i see this fight no different..povetkin does not have the chin to take wlads jab and rights all night..sasha needs to try and his the body as much as possible and hope wlad can move his feet and pump his jab..if he can stop the feet and jab then hes got a chance...

Povetkin is tough, smart, highly skilled and has some power. He looked really impressive early in his career but seemed to have lost the drive along the way. Not much of a chance vs a Klitschko was probably the reason. Now it looks like he just finally wants to cash in. If he can come into this fight fully motivated though, I'd say he is as much or a little bit more of a threat to Wlad as Haye was, for what it's worth.

To be fair I got them mixed up quite a bit when I first got into boxing. But then again I was 10 years old.

Well we will see. Don't you think David would have more success if he tried to go into the "danger" zone and just fight?

Not necessarily. For a start he'd have a much, much less chance of going the distance. It may well have ended like Mormeck Wlad.

There are (HOBOS) with more inside game than Wlad, He is fighting out side of Germany so won't be allowed to constantly cheat like normal makes it a lot closer fight than it would be in Germany

Povetkin is open for the 1/2 all night long. He doesn't move his head, so Wlad will find him with his best shots at will. This will happen because Povetkin can't afford to stay on the outside. Wlad will be in position to do his business because W.K.'s footwork is so damn underrated. He is very coordinated in there and never loses his balance.

Povetkin ain't going to see the 12th if Wlad is on his A game that night. The damage Chambers was able to do to Povetkin's face also shows that his skin isn't a tough as people think it is. Wladimir is going to look spectacular in there. :ko

Yes, Povetkin can win. Povetkin has good hand speed and he's much better than Wlad inside. I think he needs a knockout, but yes he can win. Povetkin has to stay outside or inside of Wlad's jab. If Wlad is able to touch him with the jab consistently, I think he gets stopped. I don't expect Povetkin to win, but I think it would be good for boxing if he knocked Wlad out.

    He CAN beat Wladimir.

I still only give him a 10% at best. That just happens to be the best chance I'd give any HW out there.

im surprised how many people are not respecting wlads hand speed..the problem with wladimir is that hes a super heavyweight that moves like a heavyweight which makes him very very difficult to beat..sasha dosnt have the elusiveness to make wlad miss and he also does not have the chin to be eating wlads 1-2 all night...

my prediction is..cagey first few.wlad lands the first big shot and povetkin tries to survive but cant because he dosnt have the elusvness to do so..wladimir by kayo6-9

Povetkin is a lazy ******* but he has demonstrated the ability to switch his style. He used to be a volume puncher, not anymore. It wouldn't work against Wlad anyway, too much mobility and too much power to just walk through.

it possible as Robney said ,wlad is superior in every aspect except chin and i'm not that sure about povetkin chin 2.
    i predict UD for wlad.
i think its will be very secure and defensive bout (may be boring as sultan ibragimov fight) but wlad will win fairly.
and the bout held in russia which make it more interesting.

Povetkin does seem to have a pretty good chin from what I have seen, but he doesn't really have any other advantages. He used to be a high volume puncher early in his career, but his fitness seemed to have gotten worse over the years.

I think he has no chance at all to beat Wlad, just a huge style disadvantage.

Nope, you must be referring to people like derrick. No one should be listening to what that dude has to say.

People aren't "trashing" W.K.'s opponent in this fight. Wladimir is just that damn good, which is what's being stressed here. That's really all there is to it as far as I'm concerned. He is going to beat Povetkin up. Mark it.

I'm surprised Povetkin is actually going to get in there with W.K. this time. He ducked the fight more than once before. Glad to see it signed and ready to go finally. Remember, styles make fights, despite one fighter being more technically and athletically gifted than the other.

Since Samuel Peter was brought up in a relative comparison, this should be pointed out:

Sam Peter fought W.K. when W.K. was still lacking a bit of belief in himself, post-Sanders & Brewster. On the flipside, Sam was fully motivated and didn't think he could lose that fight. That's not the case today. W.K. is on his game mentally as well as physically. Plus, Sam took a BEATING in that fight that I don't believe Povetkin can withstand. Peter was never the same after it either.

W.K. is the man now and has endured enough to get this done.

Firstly , Sam Peter was a terrible fighter who couldn't fight more than 4 rounds. James Toney gave him more problems than Wladimir.

Secondly, if Peter had engine ,footspeed and handspeed as Povektin , Wlad would of been a knock out victim.

Povektin wins this fight not because he is a great fighter , but because Wlad is not a great fighter either.
