    Lyle/Foreman is one of the things that makes me think this ends early. Not because Foreman (or Louis) lacked durability, but because both guys' approaches seem to be built around forcing exchanges to KO the other guy. And both were good enough at finishing people off -- and fighting when hurt -- that I don't think we'll wait long.

    Within that context of what their styles are designed to do, yeah, Louis probably has the better defense of the two. But I think it'll be a short shootout either way.

    Revisiting this, the thread title is "could" prime Louis overcome prime Foreman, not "would."

    I think he absolutely "could," without question.

    This is another situation, however, where IMO no one is going to bat 1.000 in a sustained series of fights between the two.

    That wasn't a "power drop". That was Foreman losing balance as he was hunting for the London style hail mary.
