If Liddell was in his prime or just simply regained his power, could he have beaten Fedor? This is not too far fetched when you consider prime Liddell has a two inch height advantage, reach advantage, great counter puncher to wide shots, and perfect takedown defense. This is really not even a fantasy matchup when you consider the UFC guys tended to cut more weight than the Pride fighters.

I would say no..and for this fact. A prime Liddell couldn't be a prime Jackson, and I woudn't take Jackson over Fedor. This is a logic that has flaws, but this is what a arm chair guy like myself thinks. Good fight? Yes, but I don't think He would beat him.

Could he KO Fedor? Sure, I think Liddell could KO just about anyone on the planet if he caught them. Would he KO Fedor? Doubtful. Fedor's faced better and more well-rounded strikers. His ground game would overwhelm Liddell.

I considered the same thing about the Jackson losses before posting, but that's what makes boxing and MMA so interesting, any fighter can win at any time. Everyone thought Liddell was washed up, and he destroys wanderlei, everyone thought wandy was washed up and he destroys Jardine (who IMO lost decision to Chuck). Fedor no doubt destroys Rampage in 1st round, makes loss to Shogun look like a tickle fight.

Could he KO him? Yea, he has all the tools. Would he beat him? You can't bet against someone who's faced best in the world and never lost. Everyone Fedor faced that were top10 had/has a shot at beating. That's the bottom line.

No, he was always pretty slow and Fedor is pretty fast.

    Your kidding right?
As soon as the UFC put Chuck in with guys that had some good Boxing skill he got beat.

I hate these woulda , coulda, can he, threads. Fact is we will probably never know but odds are Fedor cliches, chucks Chuck to the matt then pummels him for 10 seconds until he is out cold.

Very unlikely but anything's possible with Liddel's power & unorthodx style.

no as we have seen and known for years his striking is very loopy and slopy. the only reason he was doing so well a couple years back was because he was fighting only grapplers. if AA with his very technical and fast striking couldnt do it liddel with his sloppy strikes would get ****ing dumbied

Fedor has faught choi and shilt who may as well had a 1 metre height advantage - and Zulu who had a tonne weight advantage look where it got them. These 'hypotheticals' are always flawed but I look at it this way - do you think prime Lidell could beat prime Cro Cop - I doubt it very much - I think it woudl be a fight similar to a cross between sylvia and arlovski.

This is a bit of a pointless thread. You may as well ask could Kermit Cintron KO Fedor. He is after all human. Such analogies are pointless as all being equal of course theres a possibility. But is it probable? I thnk we know the answer to that..
