5'10 and built like a tank. Tysons ferocity coupled with his speed, power and combination punching would have murked the Wlad that fought Sanders easily...

 

ye tyson would destroy the transitioning wlad, from all attack beast to defensive cautious grabby boring wlad. no debating

but think outside the box once second, tyson would have to keep throwing uppercuts rather than straight lefts. if wlad did indeed survive the whirlwind, (he wouldnt) he could nuffily kid dynamite and lose by decision. saunders fought a particularly good fight, and wlad on average is better than douglas.

 

Watch prime Tyson vs. Bonecrusher Smith who was hugging and wrestling him for 12 boring rounds. Tyson looked a bit puzzled by that.

Wlad would be scared shitless

Obvously he'd go for the old huggy bear routine to try and keep Mike off but without an insider game or uppercut he'd get mauled inside or caught trying to initialise a clinch like vs Sanders.

Either way, the fight ends with Wlad lying on his back banjoed to **** catching some serious zzzz's.

Exactly.

You know, these guys have the "highlight reel" Tyson running on a little show in their heads. I don't entirely blame them, cause that's what I remember too. But thanks to Dino, I went back to rewatch some old Tyson footage.

Tyson DID have a problem with a good jab on the outside - looking at Biggs and Pinklon Thomas here - and they DID tie him up on the inside. The abovementioned Smith did it as well. Frans Botha did it to a diminished Tyson and Holyfield controlled him in clinches too. In fact, with Botha you could see him get frustrated to such a point that he tried to break Botha's arm.

FACT: Tyson didn't know what to do in a clinch.
FACT: Much lesser jab n' grabbers than Wlad did it to him with quite a lot of success.

Anybody that doubts it, needs to go watch the actual footage.

I'm pretty confident that Wlad could use his routine to control Tyson the same as he did to everybody else.

On the other hand, if, as Dino said, they get a decent referee that puts a stop to all the hugging, then Wlad's chances go down by quite a bit. Under those conditions I'd favour Tyson for the win, with the caveat that Wlad had (has?) an offensive arsenal and big power of his own, and that Tyson could be stopped as well.
