Could Roy Jones have won a 154 lb title in his pro debut?

    Yep. Pete Rademacher. He was 28 years old. Most boxers with long, decorated amateur careers or pro experience in another combat sport like Muay Thai tend to hit the ground running upon turning pro. They don’t have nearly as much time to get acclimated as the 19 year olds.

    I do not see him beating Jacquot. As mentioned it is no easy thing fighting a seasoned pro at the top of their game, in your pro debut, despite being as talented as RJJ.


    Even the Van Horn fight is a pick-em. Darrin had confidence and a near five year pro career behind him, and was coming off a solid win over Hines. He was not the shell-shocked bloated Light Middle fighting the rugged vet Barkley.

    Wow. Maybe. He had a lot of power and speed, but what happens if he has to go later on. I think he could beat Darrin and Rene, but Jackson?

    I think so but yes Jackson would have been the biggest threat.
