Jones was the once in a lifetime fighter. Maybe the once of all time fighter.

And Roy Jones is no Lomachenko, they're very different fighters.

The point remains, not a single person would have said Salido would have beaten Lomachenko had the fight not happened.

They would look at the Martinez fights, Salidos stoppage defeat and conclude Loma would have probably stopped him.

Gerald was a killer while Roy was very cautious and would be v a big puncher like Mugabi, Norris was something special.

Yes, Loma was the greatest amateur of all-time.

Roy wasn`t tested against the likes of Hagler by his second pro fight.

These combos are powerful and fast that`s very rare, Louis and Mike Tyson could do it too, fighters that throw combos usually sacrifice powe for speed.

Who can match his olympic gold tally? One maybe two amateurs in history? Loma wa awesome in the amateurs, he is the most skilled pro of all-time also.

Stevenson and Savon didn't compete in 84/88 Olys due to boycott, both won gold hands down at 86 World Ams

Papp and Breland were also more dominant. I mean Breland was ****ing 110-1 and 80 Olys were boycotted for US, 82 World Ams gold and something like 50 first-round knockouts. Insane

Yes, but Roy had more of just about everything else. Later that year Duran would be handily outboxed by an ageing SRL. Roy would get in and out with pot shots, but hard ones, at will.

Don Curry was something like 400-4 and missed Moscow because of the boycott. He'd beaten Davey Moore in the trials. One can only imagine what the likes of him and Breland would achieve if they stayed amateur for more years.
