"Lesser fighters" McCall who has 1 of the best chins ever and is still a fringe contender now and Rahman who was clearly a better fighter than Saunders. What did Saunders actually do other than beat Wlad?

:hey Well the out of shape SANDERS did a hell of alot better against ROCK then the out of shape LL did . And isnt it funny that LL ended his carreer by carfully avoiding both SANDRS and VLAD ? LL had a very leaky defence folks and the southpaw sniper would have been a nightmare for LL .:deal

:hi: SANDERS fought ROCK with a bum knee and without any road work leading up to their fight ! An in shape GOLFER would have splattered him worst then LL did in the rematch .

Lewis came in fat for both those fights, sanders would have been a challenge to lewis so he would have come in shape and destroy sanders in 9

    He could of course.

But if they were to fight, Lewis would win

then why give up a world title instead of an easy fight ? Byrd made everyone look bad back then

didnt Lewis cry when bowe (no1 contender) thrashed the belt instead of making the fight ?

and its not just one guy, he faced ZERO southpaws at the high level and even right at the low level when he started his career in shorter fights

    thats no coincidence

Right so what did Saunders do other than beat a Wlad?

Maybe Saunders did better than an out of shape Lewis against Rahman but then you'll have to admit that Rahman and McCall both did better than Vitali could against an out of shape Lewis.

You can **** off with the 2 weeks notice line, that applies to both. Write it up which ever way you want but Lewis was a much better boxer than Saunders

Lewis would not allow Sanders to get into range like Vitali or Wlad did. And he would not try to slug it out like Rahman did.

I think Lewis would find his range early and stop Sanders similarly. Lewis however was like fine wine, he got better with age. Smarter at least. A 36 y/o Lewis is a much better fighter than a 30 y/o Lewis. :deal

He should of gave Byrd his shot

The only other fighter on the scene when Lewis was fighting was Moorer and Atlas said in his bio that he wasnt keen on Moorer fighting lewis. Thats why they fought Foremna instead.

I can't see when that fight could of got made. By the time Saunders picked up a belt Lewis would of already signed on for his next fight I forgot the guys name, but he pulled out and Lewis fought Vitali instead, then retired.

:patsch LL wasnt out of shape against KLIT . Thats a myth . In fact it was the big KLIT that was coming off both back and shoulder injuries ! injuries that have been carreer ending for some fighters . :deal

Sanders was one to avoid for sure.

But I still am sure that it was Vitaly who retired Lennox, AND Lennox would still have won 8 out of 10 against Sanders.

However, even if Lennox got to maximum shape he would not have more than 50% - and those odds were not good enough for LL. Which is understandable.
