What was wrong against McCall? nothing much really, got caught by a big punch and wasnt deemed in a good enough condition to continue, he should have got the chance being the champion but it is what it is. However i dont think he was as vulnrable as Wlad is as he was far more likely to take risks, slug it out with an opponent and let punches go when on the inside, he had no fear of getting punched

Against Rahman he was breathing out of his arse, had not trained properly and had not allowed any time for aclimatisation, he got cocky and paid the ultimate price, i have no doubt that if he had trained properly he would have taken the punch that ultimatley finished him off and would have robbed us of one of the sweetest return KO's i have ever seen. What is done is done and at the end of the day Lewis can only blame himself for that defeat.

Great post man!:good I dont think Sanders would have beaten Lewis. Only if Sanders did catch him cold like he did catch Wlad off guard. And it would still be only speculation what would have happened.

Lewis improved after McCall and working with Emanuel Steward. Steward helped McCall take advantage of Lewis's flaws in balance and leaving himself open.

I was recently watching Lewis's fights with Bruno and Jackson and struck by how bad his balance and technique were in spots. At times, he was borderline clumsy.

Only version of Lewis I see Sanders ever beating would be the one in the first Rahman fight. He was not well conditioned, under estimated his opponent and had not given himself enough time the acclimatise to being at high altitude. For me that was the worst version of Lewis, even worse than the past prime Lewis that fought Vitali.

Under normal circumstances I see possibly a fight similar to the one Lewis had with Briggs, a few problems early on but eventually brutally KO's Sanders. A properly focused Lewis would utterly destroy Sanders though it would be similar to Lewis/Golota.

I'd give Sanders a good chance of Knocking Lewis out in the first six rounds. After that, not so much.

Thanks:D, Cannot see it happening but you always have that chance with someone as quick and powerful as Sanders could be early.

No, he wouldn't have, and he wouldn't beat the current Wlad either.
