    Srtevenson is gonna land that straight right in the first round and it's lights out for kovalev....of course that's AFTER hopkins beats kovalev silly with countershots and puts him away.

    hopkins hasn't ko'd anyone in ten years. that was a shot, blown up ww. he looked like **** his past two fights. hell, every fight he has had in five years. if kovalev doesn't get screwed over by the refs, and doesn't ko hopkins, he is vastly overrated.

    hopkins last fight he dropped the steel chinned kazkh champion. If hopkins could do that, to shumenov who has a much stronger chin than kovalev, he could hurt kovalev and put him away. Kovalev doesn't have the work rate of pascal...and kovalev is open for the counter.

    shumenov had hardly fought in years. fourteen fight novice. uzelkov dropped him. hopkins still only managed a split decision.

    the "spliit decision" was a joke and we all know it...hopkins DOMINATED shumenov who was a WORLD CHAMP and better than ANYBODY Kovalev has ever faced. Shumenov would KO Kovalev.

    (1) Good one. That had me rofl.

    (2) That one did too.

    Kovalev could be open to counters though, it's just usually his opponents get real cautious, real quick. Also the way he strings his combos together make countering dangerous, cos they're never quite sure if there's a further punch about to come in. Nonetheless, if anyone can find a way, it's probably BHops.

    You gotta be kidding...you never seen a southpaw throw a power punch with his right hand? Kovalev is open for a counter right...been dropped by it a couple of times...even caparella, a bum was able to put kovalev on his a88. Sure, Fonfara dropped Stevenson, but Fonfara is a WORLD CLASS guy, whiereas caparella is a club fighter.
