I've only been following boxing for a couple of years and the belts still confuse me. WBO, WBC, WBA, IBO, IBF, Ring Magazine.... Which belts are the big ones. Is there any difference between the top 3? I could look it up but there's too much bull**** out there, it's easier to ask real fans what they think.
The Ring holds the most credibility As for the others I would rank them as it is 1.WBC 2.IBF 3.WBA 4.WBO 5.IBO IBO though is really more distant from the 4 preceding belts in terms of prestige. Funny, that it is the least corrupt of them all.
the alphabets are horrid. WBA is the most treacherous organization in sports. But in Japan only the WBC and WBA are recognized. WBO is a disgrace. The IBF is a joke but at least they don't put out the garbage interim belts. The WBC goes to the highest bidder. **** them all.

Prettiness seems to make the most sense. Just been comparing the champions list of them all. Screw the belts!
Agree with this. Every other BS belt out there is really irrelevant. Hatton shouldn't have been able to call himself a legitimate World Champion with that bull**** WBU belt he defended for so many years. I mean WTF is the WBU? Now I hear there is a WBF belt too??? With so many out there, they'll probably start giving them away in cereal boxes soon.
