Could someone make out a basic workout that is suitable for Boxing?

    I wasn't worried about stunting growth etc. I've been lifting weights for a few months now but then the I realised the type of training I did was horrible for Boxing. Cheers for your help though. :thumbsup

    Some great ideas, i noticed a huge benefit to my upper body strength and endurance when i started incorporating chin ups and pull ups as well as push ups! I also prefer to do my push ups with a decline now ( feet raised) rather than just increasing the reps.

    Sometimes i will drop the reps right down and get a rucksack and put some weights in it. Just do reps of 5 push ups and chin ups with the ruck sack on. Bit simplistic. Rosstraining.com is great for all sorts of ideas

    the iron gym is better than that chin up bar on the previous page imo, it's pretty much the same but you can stick it on the floor and do dips and push ups on it too

    SKIP 3x2mins
    shadow box 3x2mins
    bag work 6x2mins
    exerciser-burpees,push ups,squats,lungers,box jumps ect
    1kg hand weights-up top,out frount,uppers,ect change every 30 for 6-8mins
    sit ups.
    go hard should only take you 45min & if your upto it you can always go for a 15-20min run before or after.
