Could someone please define "One-Dimensional" for me?

I mean, its kinda obvious, but how in hell does it apply to Pavlik?

Is it because he never backs up?

Is it because people think all he throws is a 1-2?

Is it because of his supposed lack of defense?

They use this term all the time & I don't think the shoe fits here. And even if he is one-dimensional (whatever that means), it certainly has got him pretty far & NO ONE has yet to figure out that simple, yet so effective fight style he has.

Pavlik haters see someone else type "Kelly is one-dimensional" and they simply copy and paste the ****.

I don't think KP has only one game plan. If the right one doesn't get him, the left one will.

He's showed a terrific variety of punches vs Lockett. I know, Gary was a punching bag in there. BS. KP's has settled into his Champion status & will be throwing everything but the kitchen sink at his oppoenets from now on.

I don't think Kelly Pavlik is one dimensional either so far. But really the one dimensionality is more evident when a fighter is having a difficut time in the ring and adjustments need to be made.

Like Gatti against Faloyd for example ... forward, take shot from left, take shot from right, backward .... forward, take shot from left, take shot from right, backward ....

So its a fighters inability to adjust during a fight that makes him one dimensional? Again, how does it apply to Pavlik, being that his non-fans use the term so frequently? Maybe because his imposing style hasn't required him to make major adjustments in there?

He said he made minor adjustments in the rematch with Taylor. The fight was even after 10 rounds. Those adjustments gave Kelly the edge in the final 2 rounds & thus, the victory.

You know, you try to ask any reasoning in the logic of HATTER ... if someone hate Pavlik then any argument against (no matter if true or false) is good. Pavlik definitely isn't one dimensional cause his game plan was efficient against a puncher like Miranda (who is one dimensional) and against a crafty and technically difficult Taylor.

Give him a chance to prove his tolls against other TOP boxers to see whether he can adjust the style or not ... right now he is just fine.

If he's had everything his own way so far then nobody knows if he's one dimensional. If he fights someone like Calzaghe or BHop and finds them awkward then we'll see if he can adjust. Or if he moves up to 168 and finds himself being outgunned by someone like Kessler then again we'll see if he can adjust.
