Emmanuel Stewart specialized in tall, long armed fighters. Could he have done for Bruno what he did with Lewis or Wlad?
I suspect not. I think that his strengths and weaknesses were basically inbuilt. He would always have had top notch power, and the skills to use it. He would also always have had stamina issues, and poor ring IQ.
I definitely think so. Turning a good fighter into a great one was his specialty, and the only thing Bruno really needed was decent defensive skills.
He turned two other chinny awkward HWs with porous defence into ATGs, I don't see why he couldn't to the same to Frank.
Probably. I always felt that Bruno never developed his own style…as a result he never seem relaxed or comfortable, like he was trying to beat an opponent while also trying to “box properly”. I heard an interview with Tim Witherspoon where he alluded to that too.
Steward might've made some improvements, but not to the extent that Bruno would ever be a truly great fighter IMO.
In fairness, he had a good trainer in Terry Lawless . But Steward might have taken a different approach which could have benefitted him too
Not really, since Bruno already had a great trainer in Francis, who was just as experienced as Steward was.
