Should be a decent fight. I affraid of Taylor's trainer. He is such a technically flawed (exp. with defense) fighter that I don't know if he can handle himself against Kelly. I agree that 'manny wasn't working, but I wish he would've picked up Roach or somebody who could teach w/out hurting his confidence.

I think the heavyer weight will help Taylor some. One major reason for his fading down the stretch was getting gassed. The catchweight should help.

I like Taylor i really do...

thanks to him the lineal title at 160 remains intact as we all know that Hopkins was going to move up to LHW and take that distinction with him...

I even predicted Taylor to win the first one...

but Pavlik after his horrendous opening really did start imposing his will on Jermain...and he just looked as though he didn't have the stomach for it...

I think Pavlik takes it again tbh

One of the most telling quote from Jermain's interview was when he pointed out Kelly wasn't taking trash. Kelly started training earlier too. Easy to talk trash on an internet board though. No consequences to face.

Taylor is going to have a lot of work to do in this fight. The one thing I know will happen is that this fight will not go the distance. Someone is going down. I hope it is Pavlik but I just think this kid is too strong for Taylor. Pavlik punches with amazing power and if he catche JT again he will go down.

That being said I will be rooting for JT and he will have to land his jab-power combinations and move to be effective. He cannnot let Pavlik stand and measure the perfect range for the right hand. When JT isn't moving he will have to tie up Pavlik, make it a ugly inside fight when he has to. All in all I can't wait for 2 great boxers to throw down this Sat.

IF Taylor can win impressively (KO or TKO), it will certainly help with his "revindication." IF he gets a UD or SD, the conspiracy dicks or outright Taylor haters on ESB will blah blah blah blah about gift decisions. I'm rooting for Taylor, but I'm picking Pavlik. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think it's in Taylor's nature to go into boxing mode. We'll see...

I think you hit the nail on the head, ugly inside fight, favors Taylor, and he has to move when he's on the outside. A clean fight with space is what Pavlik wants, and space gives him his power. Taylor has to take away the space. IMHO.....

He can only fight one way and that is right into Pavlik - maybe he can hurt him again and if he keeps coming back for more, fight his heart out all the way to the finish line. JT can't fight a good smart fight on the back foot, tryin to countermove KP - he doesn't have the smarts, the reflexes or the versatily to make him miss and capitalize on his mistake... That right hand was thrown almost at the same time KP came short with his own left jab, it wasn't a genuine counterpunch and judging by the two Hopkins, the Winky, Ouma, and the Spinks fight, he can't fight on reverse gear. He has his physicallity and punch power and that is already a great advantage anyone could have.
