Could Terence Crawford possibly be the heir to Mayweather's pound-for-pound throne?

I was thinking the same because style wise they have a lot in common.

Bradley and Algieri were able to outbox Provodnikov. Crawford would toy with him. :bbb

Yes, TC could be the P4P man but maybe not as long as Mayweather held that distinction.

His fight versus Dulorme was impressive. Crawford seemed to be psychic. His battle plan did exactly what he intended.

    I agree.

Mayweather is more defensive minded, which is why he's been able to reign at the top of the sport for a very long time. Crawford likes to engage a bit more.

Agree with you, I'm a fan of his now. Seen his last 3 fights and this dude is for real. Doesn't look tough but man when he's in the ring, he's a killer. I don't know if he has the personality to become a PPV king but time will tell, I voted maybe. I do believe he can become P4P#1 though, I don't see anyone 140-147 beating him outside pac and Floyd, and even them I believe Crawford with a few more fights could give lots of problems to.

Mathysse wouldn't touch this kid. Crawford could box his ears off if he wanted to. Completely different class of fighter. Mathysse is good boxer of this era, Crawford would be a good boxer in any era, which is attributed to his speed, reflex's, ring IQ, explosiveness and grit. He seems to have it all, just not sure about his chin, that is the only question for me.

Yeah, he's not exactly the most charismatic boxer on the scene. I can see him headlining a PPV card one day with the right partner.

He's shown he can be outboxed, if Dulorme could have taken his punches he would have probably won a decision. He's definitely p4p top ten material but he's much easier to hit than Floyd and looks beatable

Crawford tends to give up the early rounds to size up his opponents. He wasn't worried about giving up a few rounds to Dulorme. It's a twelve round fight.

It wasn't like Dulorme was putting on a masterclass before the KO.

gamboa showed clearly that his skill level is far from elite....

gamboa looked the far better skilled fighter, but a glass chin and being well out of his weight division got crawford the ko.

Going to say this again: It's not like Dulorme shut him out.

I think Kell Brook will be the next p4p king, but terence crawford isn't far behind. crawford is just like mayweather stylistically in my honest opinion
