Could the different sanctioned bodies be unified?

Surely if they merged and perhaps a larger sanctioning fee was paid this would be do-able?

    One linear champion!

No way. It's like trade unions, they'd never merge. People have good, well paying, comfortable jobs with perks and prestige.

If organisations merge, then you wouldn't need all those people, so a lot of them would have to find other employment. What incentive would they have to merge with each other? For the good of boxing? Hardly.

Look at how all the different organisations get created. People looking to get their own cut of the action, so they create a new organisation and belts, give them to fighters and start getting fees.

Aren't they all recognised by the Hall Of Fame?

I always thought it was this that gave them their weight? ( I know WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO are).

Maybe we should be pointing the finger at the IBHOF?
