    Now ordinarily if someone had posited the following theory here in the guise of a forum post (even an eloquently composed one, and from a respected member of the community) I'd dismiss it as satirical trolling or paranoid conspiracy theorist bunkum. Something about how well-written and persuasive this article is, though, has me reconsidering...
